This is the most common question we get at Garuda. Someone is planning a trip around Warangal and isn't sure whether to go with the comfortable scooter or the more powerful commuter bike. The answer depends entirely on how you plan to ride — and we'll break it down honestly.
The Quick Answer
Pick the Activa if:
- You're riding mostly within the city or between nearby areas
- You're not comfortable with a manual gear system
- You're travelling with someone who can ride pillion comfortably on a scooter
- Fuel economy is a priority
Pick the Pulsar/Splender if:
- You're planning highway rides (Ramappa, Bhadrachalam, etc.)
- You're covering more than 100 km in a day
- You want a more stable, confident ride on open roads
- You're comfortable with manual gears

Real-World Scenarios
Scenario 1: Exploring Warangal city + Fort + Temples
→ Activa wins. Stop-start city traffic, parking in tight spots, easy for a first-time rider. The automatic transmission means zero fatigue in traffic.
Scenario 2: Riding to Ramappa Temple (77 km highway)
→ Pulsar wins. Two hours on a highway on an automatic scooter is tiring and slightly underpowered. The Pulsar handles sustained highway speeds with ease and is far more stable at 70–80 km/h.
Scenario 3: Student daily commute in Hanamkonda
→ Activa wins. Fuel economy, easy parking on campus, low maintenance, comfortable for 15–30 km daily. Perfect college bike.
Scenario 4: Multi-day trip covering multiple destinations
→ Pulsar or Royal Enfield. If you're covering 150+ km per day across multiple days, comfort and stability matter more. Consider upgrading to the Royal Enfield for ₹1199/day if you're serious about a long tour.
Our Honest Take
Most visitors to Warangal should rent the Splender/Pulsar. The extra ₹200/day is worth it the moment you hit a state highway. The Activa is perfect for pure city use — and many of our regular customers who use it for daily commutes love it for exactly that reason.
If you're completely new to bikes and nervous about manual gears, the Activa is the right call. You'll enjoy the ride more and arrive safely.
